2016 Tour de France is an international sporting evening that involves bicycle or bike racing. 22 teams participate in the bicycle racing event. Each team competes using a bike version that they consider as the best in the area of sporting performance. The article discusses the road bike versions used in the 2016 Tour de France by three high performing teams. These bike racing teams are Fortuneo-Vital Concept, Cofidis, and LottoNl-Jumbo.

Fortuneo-Vital Concept

The team participated in previous road bike racing events with the name Bretagne-Séché Environnement. Despite the name change, Fortuneo-Vital Concept has maintained the road bike version during cycling competitions. The riders use the Look 795 module of the road bike.

In 2016, the bike was given a new paint to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the cycling sport. Tour de France was introduced in 1986. 1986 Tour de France was special for the team because Greg LeMond won the race using Look KG 86 road bike version. The first runners-up, Bernard Hinault, also used Look KG 86 bike version.

LottoNl-Jumbo

LottoNL-Jumbo team is headed by the Dutch cycling champion Dylan Groenewegen. The team participated in 2016 Tour de France using the latest model of Bianchi Oltre. This new road bike version is referred to as Oltre XR4. The new bike version is almost similar to Oltre X2.

However, it has additional features such as smoother lines in the rear triangle of the road bike. The vibration damping technology that is used on the Oltre XR4 bike is CounterVail.

Cofidis

The team represents France in global cycling competitions. The road bike that the team used in 2016 Tour de France is the Orca. The Orca road bike is developed by Orbea.

The frame-sets of the bike comprised a unique paint job that was done by the MyO program. MyO program enables the road bike users to choose their preferred paint and decal features so as to develop a frame-set that is personalized.
